THE AVON 7 TRIPLE FEATURE DVD RELEASE IS ILLEGAL
The new DVD release - AVON 7 TRIPLE FEATURE, containing three titles: SLAVE OF PLEASURE, MY MISTRESS ELECTRA, and PRISONER OF PLEASURE, all of which were created, produced, directed, written, and edited by me, is being released by After Hours Cinema/Alternative Cinema without my permission. I hold the copyright pseudonymously to both Slave of Pleasure, which was distributed through Star Dirtibutors Inc, and Prisoner of Pleasure, which was distributed through Leisure Time Booking Inc. Post 1978 motion picture copyright information can be easily accessed at: copyright.gov should anyone care to have a look. I have served After Hours Cinema/Alternative Cinema with a cease and desist notice, demanding that they cease and desist from any attempt to sell these titles over the internet, or to wholesalers of DVD product with the intention of distribution to retail stores, and they have chosen to ignore my demand. It is my uunderstanding that After Hours Cinema/Alternative Cinema obtained 16MM prints of these titles from a person who had, at one time, worked for the Avon Theater chain, and who had kept many of the prints that were shown in the Avon Theaters, and not returned to the distributors. Possession of these 16MM prints, which were used as source material for the digital transfer of these titles, does not constitute the right to market them by any means whatsoever, and DOES constitute infringement of my copyright to these titles, as well infringement of my right of privace, which has been violated by After Hours Cinema/Alternative Cinema by the use of the SHAUN COSTELLO name without permission, in connection with the marketing of this illegal release. Many people, over the years, have made vast amounts of money by selling films that I produced, without bothering to get permision to do so. This is just another example.
I HOPE THAT YOU WILL NOT BUY THIS BOOTLEG, AND ILLEGAL PRODUCT!
